Welcome to CuriousMumin.com. Curious Mumin is a publishing company that shares diverse, fun, authentic and educational audio books for Muslim children through a mobile application/app.

The Curious Mumin Site and mobile application/App are operated by CuriousMumin.com  (Curious Market Projects LLC). Throughout the App/Site, the terms “we,” “us,” “our” and “Site” refers to Curious Mumin, CuriousMumin.com or Curious Market Projects LLC. ‘App’ refers to the mobile application. “You” refers to you as a “User,” “Buyer,” or “Affiliate.” We offer this App/Site, including all information, tools and products/services available from this site/app to you, the “user/buyer/visitor/affiliate”, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here, on our Privacy Policy page.

By visiting the Site/App and/or making purchases from it, you engage in its “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms of use (“Terms of Use”, “Terms”), including those additional policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Use apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, clients/customers, affiliates and/or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before accessing or using this Site. By accessing or using any part of the Site/App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to all the Terms of this agreement, then you may not access the website/app or use any of its services.

Any new features or tools which are added to the current Site/App shall also be subject to the Terms of Use. You can review the most current version of the Terms of Use at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Use by posting updates and/or changes to the Site/App. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the Site/App following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

General Conditions

Curious Mumin is a publishing company that shares diverse, fun, authentic and educational audio books for Muslim children through an app.

We write stories, record the audios and illustrate the book covers.

Upon joining the Site/App, creating a user account or submitting a book/story, information such as username, first and last name, email, business name, and other relevant information. 

Users create an account, purchase an in-app subscription or use a free trial to access audio books on the App. 

CuriousMumim accepts book/story submissions from published authors and upcoming authors.

We work with freelancers to conduct research, write stories, illustrate book covers, record audio book narrations and maintain our Site/App and social media pages. We also work with brands as affiliates or for product/service promotions.

You may not use our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature. A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in immediate termination of your Services.

By agreeing to these Terms of Use, you acknowledge that you are at least the age of maturity in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of maturity in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this Site/App.

Relationship

Nothing contained in these Terms shall be construed to create a partnership, joint or co-venture, agency, or employment relationship between Buyer, Freelancer, Intern, Volunteer or Affiliate and CuriousMumin.com/the App.

Buyer or Affiliate is neither an agent nor an employee of CuriousMumin.com/the App and does not have the right to represent the Site, App, contact prospects, clients or hire on behalf of CuriousMumin/Curious Market Projects LLC.

Confidentiality

We and Freelancers agree not to disclose Buyers’ and Users’ Confidential Information to any third party except for what is clearly mentioned in our Privacy Policy. The confidentiality provisions of these Terms of Use continue to be effective after termination of these Terms of Use. Violation of this article shall count as a material violation of these Terms of Use.

Confidential Information for these Terms of Use will include proprietary information that includes, but is not limited to emails, addresses, financial information, models, source codes, and other confidential information.

Confidential Information will not include any information disclosed by User (i.e. registration information like username, store name and password to our site) without restriction, rightly received by us from a third-party, or become publicly available without any act of us (CuriousMumin.com or the App).

Buyer/User is not required to but freely chooses to disclose some of its confidential information to us. The Confidential Information may include data, financial information, software, technology, or any other information disclosed orally, in writing, or by any other media tools.

General Services

We provide audio books through our App by writing the stories, recording the audios and illustrating the book covers.

Users select a subscription and purchase to access our app of stories. When available, users can also access the stories through a free trial.

Book/Story Submissions

Authors, both published and unpublished authors have the option to submit their books or stories to have them presented to a new audience. This could potentially better expose established authors, upcoming authors, and increase their sales in physical copies. It could also give a voice to aspiring authors.

Although the above mentioned are a possibility, we do not guarantee any result, so upon submitting books/stories, users do so by their own will.

We neither charge a fee nor give monetary compensation for submitted books with already published books. This is an opportunity for published authors.

We however give a monetary compensation of $20 for every accepted non-published story. The minimum length requirement for each unpublished story is 600 words and the maximum is 2,500 words per story. Each story MUST be original and plagiarism-free. 

If younger than 18 years old, the story/book submitter MUST be in the presence of an adult guardian and have the approval to do so. 

Submitters with unpublished stories are free to officially publish accepted stories on other platforms at least 1 (one) year after publishing them on the Curious Mumin app. 

We pay for accepted unpublished submitted stories using PayPal only.

Upon submitting a published book, authors are required to also submit the cover of the book and have the option to add an audio narration if they choose to do so. 

Non-published stories are not required to be submitted with a cover. However, users have the option to add a cover and audio narration.

We reserve the right to reject any submitted book/story, cover illustration or audio narration, without notice, if they do not go in accordance with the standard of our App/Site.

Orders/Subscriptions and Payments

There are two subscriptions form on our App, monthly or yearly. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice.

We also have a free 3-day trial. Users must cancel within three days to stop a monthly subscription after the 3-day free trial. If not canceled, users will be charged a continuous monthly subscription.

Upon purchasing a subscription on the App to access audio books or entering any other form of transaction such as promotion or affiliation, service begins after the full payment clears.

Accuracy of Billing and Account Information

You (Buyer) agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at the Site.

As a Buyer/User, you agree to promptly update your account and other information, including email address, Google in-App Purchase, PayPal email, bank details (if applicable) and other required information in order for CuriousMumin.com/the App to complete transactions.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. However, once a purchase is made, there will be no refund if you choose to cancel your subscription in the middle of the month or year. 

Automatic Subscription

You will be automatically charged each month/year, depending on the subscription you choose. Your subscription will NOT terminate by simply uninstalling the app. You must cancel your subscription on Google Play Story or iOS App Store to discontinue any subscription. 

Assigned Services

We work with a team of remote workers whom we assign customer service or maintenance duties to. We use third-party resources or software to collaborate in order to effectively deliver quality services.

Optional Third-Party Tools and Other Links

We may provide you with access to third-party tools over which we neither monitor nor have any control nor input.

You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools ”as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement. We shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or relating to your use of optional third-party tools.

Any use by you of optional tools offered through the Site/App is entirely at your own risk and discretion and you should ensure that you are familiar with and approve of the terms on which tools are provided by the relevant third-party provider(s).

We may, in the future, offer new services and/or features through the Site/App (including the release of new tools and resources). Such new features and/or services shall also be subject to these Terms of Use.

You may sometimes see third-party links or mobile applications on the Site or App. We do not take responsibility for the content of such third-party links/sites or mobile applications. Finding such links or mobile applications does not imply any approval or endorsement for the links/sites or mobile applications. Clicking or going to such third-party sources is done at your own risk.

User Comments, Feedback, and other Submissions

If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions or without a request from us you send creative ideas, guest blog posts, stories/books, audio book narrations, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, ‘comments’), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.

You agree that your comments will not violate any right of any third-party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other personal or proprietary right. You further agree that your comments will not contain libelous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website. You may not use a false e-mail address, pretend to be someone other than yourself, or otherwise mislead us or third-parties as to the origin of any comments. You are solely responsible for any comments you make and their accuracy. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any comments posted by you or any third-party.

Personal Information

Your submission of personal information through our Site or App is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Errors, Inaccuracies, Omissions and Modification of Information

Occasionally there may be information on our site/app or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to service descriptions, pricing and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order). However, we encourage Users to contact us to bring the errors to our attention.

We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Service or on any related website, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied in the Service or on any related website should be taken to indicate that all information in the Service or on any related website has been modified or updated.

We reserve the right to make changes on our Site, App, books, audio narrations or cover illustrations for updates. We also reserve the right to make changes to our descriptions, pages and prices.

Limitation of Liability

In no case shall CuriousMumin.com/the Site/App/, our freelancer/contractors or interns be liable for any loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility.

Indemnification 

You/User agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Curious Market Projects LLC and our partners/affiliates, directors, agents, contractors, service providers, freelancers, subcontractors, interns and employees (if any), harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Use or the documents they incorporate by reference or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

Severability

In the event that any provision of these Terms of Use is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Use, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

Termination of Term

The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes or uses.

These Terms and Use are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms of Use at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our Site/App.

If in our sole judgement you fail, or we suspect that you have failed to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Use, we may terminate this agreement at any time without notice.

Force Majeure

No failure or omission by a party in the performance of any obligation under these Terms of Use shall be deemed a breach of these Terms and Conditions/Terms of Use or create any liability if such failure or omission shall arise from any cause or causes beyond the reasonable control of such party which cannot be overcome through that party’s reasonable diligence, e.g., strikes, riots, war, religious acts, severe illness, invasion, fire, explosion, floods or acts of government.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use and any policies or operating rules posted by us on the site/app or in respect to the Product/Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Product/Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Use).

Any ambiguities in the interpretation of these Terms of Use shall not be construed against the drafting party.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Products/Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Wyoming, United States of America.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Use by posting updates and changes to this Site/App. It is your responsibility to check the Site/App periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the Site/App or the Product/Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms of Use constitutes acceptance of those changes.
