We work with freelancers to conduct research, write stories, illustrate book covers, record audio book narrations and maintain our Site/App and social media pages. By applying to any position with us (Curious Mumin), you agree to this Freelance Service Agreement, our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use.
Service Essentials
- Relationship: Upon working with us, you understand that you would be a freelancer and NOT an employee. This means we’ll only hired you per project and our work relationship will end after the end of the project. You will also be responsible for your own taxes.
- Service Provided: You would be working with us, as per project availability, as one of the following: developer, story writer, story editor, content writer, social media manager, voice narrator or illustrator.
- Service Rate: Each position will have a different rate and fluctuate based on freelancer’s expertise, years of experience or preferred rate. We pay per specific project with the exception of social media management which comes with a monthly rate.
- Mode of Payment: We only pay through PayPal. Make sure you have a PayPal account before applying for any position.
- Payment Date: Each payment is made upon completion of project and approval.
- Internship: Internship is an unpaid position for practical skills and experience. Upon three (3) months of successfully working with us, the intern will be hired as a long-term freelancer.
- Volunteering: Volunteering is optional and an unpaid position.
How it Works
You’ve decided to work with Curious Mumin. Now what?
- Initial Contact: Before submitting your application, you would be required to read the freelance service agreement, privacy policy and terms of use. After applying for a position, if qualified, we’ll contact you by email to further elaborate on the project requirements and expectations.
- Welcome Message: If selected after the initial communication, we’ll first send you a welcome email and appreciation for wanting to work with us.
- Communication: All communication will be through email and/or Telegram. All communicated information will be considered as part of the freelance service agreement.
- Work Time: You’ll work on the project after mutual agreement within the agreed upon deadline.
- Project Submission: You’d be required to submit the project for approval. If needed, you’d be asked to make adjustments or fix errors. Any project that doesn’t meet our requirements will be rejected.
- Payment: The agreed upon service rate will be payed to you by PayPal. Only approved projects/tasks will be subject to payments.
- Thank You Message: We’ll send you a Thank You email for working with us. If we’re highly satisfied with your work, we may work with you again or on a long-term basis.
We reserve the right to make changes to the Freelance Service Agreement at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to read the Freelance Service Agreement before submitting an application. After applying and getting hired, we (Curious Mumin) and you (the freelancer) will be required to abide by whatever was on the Freelance Service Agreement at the time of the application.
